General NotesNot nearly as common in our area as its close relative, the Question Mark, the Comma can still be found in the Dallas area with some regularity. Easy to mistake for the Question Mark, it can be differentiated by its smaller size, the three black spots on the upper side of the forewing (Question Mark has four), and the characteristic comma on the underside of the hindwing, from which it takes its name, although some Question Marks can have a "comma" instead of a "question mark".
