Caterpillar Hostplants | Milk-Vetch (Astragalus spp.), Hoary Tick-Clover (Desmodium canescens), Maryland Tick-Clover (D. marilandica), Milk-Pea (Galactia spp.), Hairy Bush-Clover (Lespedeza hirta), Round-Head Bush-Clover (L. capitata), Texas Bush-Clover (L. texana), Black Medick (Medicago lupulina), Sour Clover (Melilotus indicus), Yellow Sweet-Clover (M. officinalis), White Clover (Trifolium repens), Red Clover (T. pratense), Common Vetch (Vicia sativa), and Hairy Vetch (V. villosa). Specific species of the following genre not found in our area have also been used as a host, but some of our native species might be utilized: False Indigo (Baptisia spp.), Deer-Vetch (Lotus spp.), Peavine (Lathyrus spp.), and Bluebonnet (Lupinus spp.) |
