| Caterpillar Hostplants | Red Bay (Persia borbonia), and other members of this genus, Sassafras (Sassafras albidum), Camphor Tree (Cinnamomum camphora). Reports of Sweet Bay (Magnolia virginiana) are erroneous (Calhoun, 2017). |
| Area Sighting Locations | An east Texas species, not to be expected in our area. |
| Seasonal Flight Data | Multiple broods; Spring - Fall |
| General Notes | Numerous specimens seen and taken in mid-May, 2012 in both Kaufman and Dallas Counties. Previous record comes from one specimen taken in Richardson by B. Heles on May 1, 1984. Not to be expected. |
